One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Attitude

I am pretty sure that there is no other children's clothing line on earth with this much attitude. Red Fish Kid's Clothing is "clothing for the courageous" and they mean it. I have enough to worry about

I have enough to worry about without wondering what the baby has done with her milk cup, rubber giraffe, teething ring. I mean seriously. So that is why I love Ali-Oops! by Ali Designs. One end snaps to the stroller, the car seat, the baby ( I suppose if said baby is wearing something it could loop around and snap to such as overalls), and the other end snaps to the thing the baby must have at that very moment.

What To Get The Mom Who Has Everything

The Mothers in my life are the type of women who have everything.. This is good. They always look great, they are always prepared, they are always saying "I don't need a thing". So going forward I will only give super functional gifts. These are the type of gifts I would love as well. Function = a purpose in my home, office, life so that I have less clutter and more useful goodies.

Currently I am obsessed with yellow and bee motifs. I have declared that the Lucite tray from Iomoi is the perfect mothers day gift. Apron Shmapron

This isn't an apron, it's a fashion statement. I love it. I collect vintage aprons- did you know that? Specifically vintage half aprons. This however is a full apron filled with color, loveliness and pockets! Also, it's brand new. Just for me!

Mommy I Want A Ride

We have the UPPAbaby VISTA. We have a preschooler and an infant. That means one of them gets to ride in the stroller and one of them, well, whines a lot.

This is why we need and must have and truly wish for the UPPAbaby piggyBACK.  After initial installation the piggyBACK snaps on and off easily. It has a non-skid surface and is made from eco-friendly wooden material. The good news is that the stroller will fold up with the piggyBACK attached- (Whoo Hoo!), and it will hold your whiny toddler/preschooler/big kid up to 80lbs! Sweet.

Fresh Air = Hungry Kids

All of this fresh air lately is great however it has me feeling like an inadequate mom whenever we head to the park. Why? Well for example- last week we hit the slides/swings and Ruby became hungry all of a sudden and walked over to a bench where a family had left their lunch and gear and picked up a 1/2 eaten banana and tried to put it in her mouth. I flung myself across the playground to let her know that it was not her banana and that if she was hungry/thirsty all she had to do was ask me. I did have goodies in my bag but I surely was not as prepared as the other mothers. They had fresh fruit, picnic baskets overflowing with juice and sandwiches, one mom even had a quart of Powerade and a dozen dixie cups. She was a show off.

I now have the mind set to hit the park with a lunch for the girls and I and if we go later or earlier than the standard lunch time I bring nutritious snacks/drinks. My juice box and bag of gummy bears doesn't cut the mustard because for some reason Ruby wants the most healthy things and in great quantity when she inhales fresh air. I am excited about this but it's just another thing for me to have to do.

I have been researching modern picnic baskets, ones that you can wipe down, or hose out if things get really messy. Ones that zip, ones that have handles and ones that Ruby can identify as hers so she no longer needs to go ransacking everyone else's baskets/bags.

What do you think of this one? I like it. I also like the website, reusable bags where I found it. They have ALL sorts of bags that you can use for grocery shopping etc. I love the modern and funky designs and the focus on the environment. They even have a "show me what I can fit into this bag" feature which is the first thing on my mind as a mom.

Earth Day Belated

So yes, Earth Day was yesterday but since I was away on business I had to do it belated style. It's cool though. Just so you know - I also just went to the grocery store and used my reusable bags. Score one for me!
