Going Out With A Bang

Bugalug

There she is. The inspiration for this entire venture, the dailystroll. She has become quite the fashionista and while not everything has to be pink and princess-like, she is enjoying new hair accessories. The satin headbands from Bugalug to be precise. I find them rather innovative with their patented plastic toggle design. Simple slide the band over your head (or that of your fashionable preschooler) and tighten to a perfect fit with the toggle.

Ruby has fabulous hair for these headbands too, and I just love giving her a little bit of bangs out the front and keeping her wild mane under control in the back. I can even sport a Bugalug headband if I like and they have so many great designs on the website it is hard to choose. Based in Calgary Alberta, Canada their website their products are available right from their website or at several retailers.

Other headbands can slip or give you a headache but with Bugalug baby all you get is style and comfort. This is very important when introducing your daughter to all of the wondrous hair accessories she can enjoy as a girl. Save the "beauty is pain" lecture for when she shaves her legs at age 8 without your guidance. For now stick to the simple and sweet and painless.

boob

Boob_2

boob. It becomes all about the boob for millions of women each year. Trouble is, they can be a bit unruly. Leaking, popping out of your shirt, showing up right when the mail carrier comes to the door (personal experience). Wouldn't it be nice to simply lift up and pull down just the important part of the top when you need to expose the goods? I mean the last thing anyone wants is to expose their stomach as well during nursing hour. We are not talking "Girls Gone Wild" here we are simply talking chic, discreet, stylish nursing wear. That is boob.

boob is also a maternity brand. Each piece is a Lycra stretch cotton to insure a great fit. Transition wear is key, and two outfits for the price of one is a plus. Wear it before, wear it after and since you will really love it- wear it way after. No one will know. What they will know is that you are super fabulous and smart for your wardrobe choices. With a double layer of fabric over the bust, each nursing top is like your little secret weapon for keeping your style side and your mommy side happy and in sync.

Mamaisms

Minyourmanners

I have to say I am pretty much over the tees that say stuff trend. I am a plain Jane and like to wear solid tees. This is probably because too many graphics on the front of a tee calls too much attention to "the girls" and they are huge and now sagging (thanks 2 kids) and they don't like to compete for space.

I will say that I do like the collection by Mamaisms though. I mean how can you not like a tee that says the exact "Mama-isms" you and your mother, and her mother have spouted for generations? "Play Nice" and "Mind Your Manners" are my favorites, and I appreciate these designers for placing the wording and images in flattering spots. The way the Mamaism lays across "the girls" doesn't make the tee seem two sizes to small and stretch out the lettering, and the off-set retro graphics are great. The tees are super soft and have just enough stretch. They are flattering and in my opinion run true to size.

What is your favorite Mamaism?

Kice Kice is Nice Nice

Kicekiceclothing

Twin sisters with a passion for design and for filling the void in modern children's wear put their heads and hands together and came up with Kice Kice. I love it. What a breath of fresh air and a celebration of childhood!

Unlock My Sanity

Wriskey

Funny thing - keys that is. They hold the power. They unlock the house, they unlock the car, they keep you trapped somewhere all day when you can't find them.

It is not like we are guys. We don't have these big pockets on our pants that look appropriate when stuffed with wallets and keys. Women are actually supposed to remove our pants pockets according to some stylists as it makes the pants fall better and removes those "lines" that make our butts look bigger. We are also expected to carry more than one child in our arms, a diaper tote, push a stroller, manage our beverage, hold our toddler's hand, all while making a phone call and trying not to lose our sanity keys. Last time I looked I had only two hands. Last time I looked, I couldn't find my keys either.

This is why I am so excited about Wriskey. It may bring me back from the brink. Not to mention that I feel that I need one in every color. What is it? A stylish wristlet key chain. Keep your hands free to hold  your kids and kid paraphernalia while remaining the ultimate fashionista that you are. Other moms will stop you in the street and think that you are so cool. Then you will tell them about Wriskey and how you saw it on The Daily Stroll.

Say goodbye to pocket bulge, and hello to your keys. Now the hard part is choosing which Wriskey you want. I am warning you. This could take all day. Another thing just to make it more difficult- they are only $12 each.

Egg-cellent Hoody

Ookieandlala_3

This hand knit hoody sweater is so perfect. I have never seen anything like it. I had to take my own photo to show you that it is super duper soft and luxurious. It also has a fried egg on it which is not only whimsical but perfect for my kids. The fried egg even has glittered yarn for that sizzle!

Ruby doesn't really eat anything else but eggies (and bacon and bagels) so when I saw this sweater I had to have it. We are pretty much obsessed  with bacon and eggs in this house.
Lucky for you- if you have to have it it is on sale!

Got Drool?

Elke35mos

Dribbler_2

Got drool? We do (baby E in photo above)! That is why we are LOVING the new dribbler by Resa Design. We also heart their new website! The fabric selections are great but it is Resa's craftswomanship and color combos that get us. Not to mention the waterproof backside to the dribbler.

During late November and early December Resa Design is doing a 12 Days of Christmas sale- visit their site each day starting Nov 30 to see what that day's deal is! I say 'dribblers for all and for all a dry night' (actually day- but day doesn't rhyme).

The girls of the daily stroll have also been sporting Resa Design's new line of dresses. Just a simple pinafore with lots of style. Do as she says and layer it with jeans, Ruby kicked back in her apple/pear combo with a pair of babylegs -blue nail polish not included.

Fooey on your kids

Fooeyusa

In love with this brand. That's all I need to say.

Ok well maybe a BIT more.

So this is Fooey. Fooey USA. Great design, fabulous prices and even a secret saver society! My favorite has to be the superstar couduroy pants. I am instantly taken back to the early 80's (in a good way). They create cool fine art for the kids' rooms and they are even going to start a line of hip adult wares called Let's Be Awesome. How rad right?

For infant I am eyeing this summer peasant dress. I can layer under with long sleeve one piece and tights... so tempting!
