Spring Has Sprung

 

Well maybe spring hasn't sprung for you but it has for these designers. They are always ahead of the game (because they have to be). I am sure that you are aching for spring though and April showers may bring May flowers- but January freezing cold brings a longing for green grass, buds on trees, and swingy spring dresses for me.

So far my top picks for spring fashion come from BodenUSA and Baby Bean Vintage Daywear. Boden appeals to my dollar conscious, quality seeking self, while Baby Bean appeals to my love of vintage fabrics, impeccable craftswoman-ship, and giving the girls something so very special in the form of a one-of-a-kind dress.

A few designers got together and threw a virtual baby shower for me when I was pregnant this summer with baby #2. I was so surprised and delighted, and one of my favorite gifts was a unique ID bracelet for Elkë Magnolia ( they even put her umlauts on there!) by Julian & Co.

I had never thought about jewelry for infants because infants are so sweet and adorable already and they hardly need adornment, but when she was born and we put her newborn silver ID bracelet on her she got even sweeter! Pimp My Stroller

This is not just any stroller but then again can we really define a stroller anymore?
Strolling just seems to be a given these days, it's the extras that really matter. The cupholder, the basket size, the wheel size, airless? pump included? dvd player? - wait did I say dvd player? yes I did.

Meet: The RODDLER. Oh yes, the Roddler.
Debuting this past week in front of God and everyone in the juvenille product industry, The Roddler is an instant hit. Not everyone can have one, but everyone can look. And me? I just can't stop looking. The designers behind this product just can't stop talking or smiling for that matter. They know their Roddler is a hit and as any proud parent would they are bragging all over town. Joe Iacono and the peeps from Pinstripe Prep who have partnered over this pimped out park cruiser have been emailing me exciting facts, figures and photos all week.

At a starting price of $2500 not everyone can have one. I certainly can't but it is fun to see that 1. the industry is responding well, and 2. designers can have a great sense of confidence that people WILL buy their product and they pour their heart and soul into it. As someone who promotes independent and small designers 24/7 I am excited for these guys and wish them the best!

Hey if I had the $ I would get one. My family of 4 may have to live in it as we could not afford our mortgage but hey- it has a DVD player and custom luggage rack so what else could we need? Oh a potty. Hey- Roddler- add a portable potty seat and I am there!
