You Can Still Jingle
So Ruby (3) is not "getting" that the holidays are over. She is particularly attached to a small faux Christmas tree that we put in her room. She refuses to let me put it away for next year so thank goodness it is a fake.
I am trying to transition her and have told her that she can borrow her sisters new Cambodian Jingle Anklet and continue to jingle her way through winter. Luckily one of the best features is that this darling adornment is adjustable!
Secretly I have always wanted one. No it's not because Maddox Jolie-Pitt was sporting one as a toddler (ok maybe it is). Super cute with a great history behind it- and babies and young kids love to wear them. Heck I slipped it on my wrist and jingled a little bit too! Baby Emi Jewelry is bringing this bracelet/anklet to the masses with a bit of their own history tied in.
The History Behind Cambodian Jingle Bells Jewelry:
For thousands of years Cambodian mommies have adorned the feet of their precious babies with silver anklets that have small bells attached to them. This tradition is still alive as Emi s grandmother (who is from Cambodia) gifted her with her first baby anklets at her birth. Traditionally, it is believed that the delicate jingling sounds would protect young child en by warding off bad spirits. They also serve a functional purpose by providing auditory clues to their children movements and activity. For the modern mama, the unique Jingle Bells Anklet is a fashionable and functional must have item for the active crawler and toddler. Handcrafted with .925 sterling silver.
